Description

Ishwari, Ajay's mother. The woman who is present through out the game, and yet we never get to see her face. I sometimes feel that the story of Far Cry 4 is not really about Ajay, but rather, it's about Ishwari and Pagan. It's a love story, and we're there to discover it. What kind of woman is Ishwari? We know she wanted to fight alongside her husband but was denied because of her gender; we know she was a spy and fall in love with the wrong person... we know she was a murderer and a loving mother. I just can't get her out of my head. Pagan is so sad at the end, and I was in tears when I saw Lakshmana. I just can't kill Pagan, I want to know more about her. She's like Rebecca, her presents haunt everyone in Kyrat.

We don't know what she looks like, the only reference I have is Ajay, and Pagan's comment when he first met Ajay "I recognize those eyes anywhere". I imagine her feature is probably as strong as her son with the same eyes. I get her to wear the Golden Path uniform, but give her some pink background and rim light, because pink is Pagan's theme color.

I love how thoughtful you have been about the kind of face she should have, and I appreciate that you gave her strong features. It's nice to see someone else picking up on that story of ghosts and absentees and memories which permeates the game. It's nice also to see a character that is so crucial to that story finally given a face.

I really liked the way Pagan's face and gestures are done in the mausoleum cut-scenes (both the easter-egg ending and the negotiate ending) - for just a moment, I swear his eyes go moist and his nose turns faintly pink - a split-second slip of composure. There's an immense sadness there, subtly portrayed.

Anyway, what I meant to say was, this is a lovely piece of work.
